This has been a heavy week around the world, and our service today calls us to hear and receive some heavy passages from Scripture today, including a passage from the Book of Lamentations. Lamentations was written in one of the darkest moments in the story of God's people, and it offers us sacred space to grieve honestly in God's presence. And yet this book is often neglected, and its gifts to us left unexplored.
