Alleluia! The Lord is risen indeed: O come, let us worship! Today we celebrate the Feast of the Ascension, when the Risen Jesus returned to the right hand of the Father in order to reign as Lord of heaven and earth even now. There is so much about the story of Christ's Ascension that can seem strange to us, but it is a vital part of His mission to rescue our broken world. Here is a short video from the Bible Project that can help shed a bit of light on what the authors of the Bible had in mind when they spoke of the Risen Jesus being taken up in a cloud to sit at the right hand of God the Father.
